Dungarees since '94

I know I said I had loads of outfit posts to show you when I went on holiday which is Thursday (fyi) but I don't think I could wait that long before squeeeezing an extra outfit in and writing as I find it so therapeutic.

The problem is..I had no-one to take the pictures so I had to resort to asking my Mum. It didn't go very well but at least she got a few photos of the outfits. So please don't be alarmed for future photos to come as they will be of a much better standard and varied backgrounds in Spain!!!

The weather here since being back has been a bit iffy to say the least - standard U.K. bi-polar as ever. To be honest I pray for it to be sunny as thats mainly where all my outfit ideas spring from so when quickly taking these photos I was lucky that the weather was on my side.

I love dungarees and have been wearing them ever since I was 14 before the big trend came in last year. These are my first and favorite pair so that's why they may look a tad on the small side, they are really great because of the style on the front and back - so you can really mix it up with the straps and it will alsways look different from the back as it isnt the same design of one block of material. Not to mention they are perfect for the festival season and also cute on dates etc.

The best thing about dungarees is how many different ways you can wear them, one of my favorite bloggers Kavita from ''Shewearsfashion'' did a really informative article on its varied approaches that shows they dont look the same every time. Moreover, for another seasonal look you could wear a high neck long sleeved top for an A/W take. I will definately attempt to do this when the temperature starts to drop.

Originally I was going to wear the dungarees with another ruck sack (smaller leather tassled) and high top converse in black but I thought this look was so much more summery and fresh - teamed with the larger style aztec rucksack and opened toe smaller flatforms. Dungarees are my all time essential for traveling and not only festivals. I love wearing them in airports and walking around hotter countries giving an already retro feel with these 90's take sunglasses - which may look a bit wonky considering the amount of times I've sat on them.

Once again, sorry about the poor quality/backround these were really quick and rushed and I just wanted to show off my tan and communicate with you guys  once more before I go away !

Hope you like the outfit,

IVE MISSED YOU!

Hey Guyssssss!

Woww, blogging feels so weird after my holiday. I feel like I've forgotten everything! I'm sorry I've not been frequent with posts as I've been away with my girlfriends in Greece and after that my trip was extended for another couple of days to Portugal by my mum! I feel so lucky and it was a nice recovery time too (fully needed). I had such an amazing time away and although I was sad to miss the remainder of the English heatwave, holidays always remind me to broaden my horizons. Im a fanatic about traveling, like literally obsessed. I will go absolutely anywhere as I love discovering new places and trying new things, especially food (different cuisines are for sure my thing). Everytime I go away I always want to run away or start a new life in that country and if anyone knows me they will know how much I hate the UK at times. Seriously, I cant wait to explore and live in a different destination and if I could do it now I would...just counting the days!
BUT .. before that I have to tell you that I'm going away for another relaxation/party time with my boyfriend next week to Marbella where this time I will be taking my camera and a fully packed suitcase...15kg limit  to Greece was ridiculous!
I cannot tell you how excited I am to take beautiful clothes and dress up everyday and night, its going to be such a relief! Ahhhhhhh!! I cant wait to show everyone and anyone whos a frequent reader of my blog the new outfits and of course my tan which can not be seen in these photos as they were taken before I went away. I'm hoping It wont all peel before next week as im starting to become like some sort of creep snake.

So much is happening with my life right now and Im nervous and excited to see what will happen!!!

So this post is just a casual quick one, some may have seen it on my lookbook - Here. My style is all about being comfortable and this girly yet tomboy-esque appearance was a great way to go.

I look way too happy and smiley in these photos as I took them with one of my best friends.

My favourite things about this outfit would have to be the nike air max's (obsessed) they make the most simple outfits so much cooler so they are one of the easiest things to wear.

I also really love the waistcoat with its metallic collar it definately makes an outfit stand out ten times more.

Also styling...

Shoes - Nike Air Max
Leather Skirt - Ebay
Pink High Neck Crop Top (patterned) - River Island
Metallic White Leather Sleeveless Jacket - Wasteland
'Coco Made Me Do it' - Beanie - Ebay

Keep on look for new posts before I go away ! There might be the odd few!

Topshop Addict

I know everyone reading this loves Topshop. Even though its one of the biggest chains I find that every single item of clothing is amazing and individual, the other day I was in Westfield and I went a bit overboard...(understatement). Im really loving loads of ''tea dresses'' they are doing right now, kind of 50's-esque.

Not ''tee - dresses'' like t shirt but tea as in frilly cute pinafore shaped dresses. They are very cute and stylish and not to mention great for any occasion. The one Im wearing below is made of a beautiful lace in a really flattering shape that really enhances your figure. My favourite thing about it though is the colour! In Acid Green it adds a modern twist and you can really manipulate this outfit to however you want. I know this outfit has been featured on lookbook before but I wore it yesterday with cat eye sunglasses and black suede slipper shoes. Its so cute and effortless!!!

Also comes in a playsuit version so have a look and enjoy the photos!

Styling... Topshop Head to toe! Please continue to remember my blog as Im away , as Ive said, many more photos and outfits are to be posted when Im back!

Barbie Girl in a Barbie World

Yoo,

Wow, Im so so surprised about the number of page views this weekend! I really want to apologize for lacking outfit posts as it has been far far too hot (27 - ah-ma-zing!!!!!) and so I've been way too sweaty to take photos (niceeeee and feminine oohh yehhh..)

But anyway I have been wanting to post this outfit for ages - excuse the cringe name! This skirt (although a little bit on the large side) is so cute! I saw it in Miss Selfridge and had to get it, unfortunately they were sold out of my side so I quickly found myself pressing the big blue ''buy now'' button on Ebay! I love it so much! Cant stop wearing it, its just so nostalgic and reminds you of you childhood, right? Whenever I wear this I actually feel so cool and like such  a kid - ....lol.

Took this picture just outside Hyde Park Corner in front of these two huge beautiful doors in London - kind of colour contrast..kind of.  I didn't intend to wear the hat but it was a sort of spur of the moment kind of thing and I thought it looked alright, what do you think???.  No doubt you will definately be seeing more of this hat in outfit posts to come.

Thanks for reading once again and show your support by following me on Bloglovin' or tell your friends

Hope your enjoying the weather as much as I am but if you live in London I feel for you majorly and If your thinking of using the underground. DONT (haha). Unless you have a death wish.

HOUSE HOUSE WHO LOVES HOUSE

It  is no doubt that I LOVE House Music and it is only best in the summer when the sun is shining the re mixes are playing and the drinks are flowing. I love listening to it in a bar/club on holiday, by the pool and before bed - it is just so versatile!

I know most of you know about 8 tracks and they do some great playlists but whether this is your first time or second or your as a great a lover as I - check out LindsaysLicks - here!

And yes before you ask, it is my brother! However im not promoting him, he doesnt even know I posted this ! His most recent one is a dream, its great for motivation (even for all those hundreds of hours I spend in the gym...yehh.....)

Check it out and I'm sure a lot of my tracks of the week will still be there. I know you can see from my 'FAQ' that I like a lot of alternative music but come on now, its summer. I dont think I want to be feeling calm and mellow.. all I wanna do is rave and house is the way to go!

Cheers guys!

Hope your enjoying the weather wherever you are in the world as much as I am (can NOT believe I got a tan in England!)

once again comments are appreciated and WELCOME.

S.O.P.(N) (SAVE OUR PLANET NOW!)

This post is really about links between fashion and the planet. Everyone knows that the impact it has is huge and that we can really use anything to become more sustainable in a way of living. Personally, I feel lucky that my two passions are based around the Global World and the World of Fashion as the two combined can create something truly powerful and dominate societal way of thinking. Loads of my friends know Im one for my facts and figures so I thought I'd try and do less of that to not make it so long and boring and just describe my views and findings.  So here goes with the post...

I'm really all for celebrity endorsed campaigns such as the Breast Cancer ones with the T shirts. However I think they could do more. They are hugely influential and what they wear on a day to day basis is viewed by TRILLIONS. Thus, their role is significant. Even if I hated fashion I would still say the same thing. Clothes are fundamental in making a statement and expressing and opinion right? So why won't we use them to make a statement thats worthwhile and makes a DIFFERENCE.

Vivienne Westwood is a perfect example of someone bringing fashion and environment passion together to raise quality of life. A woman after my own heart in this area as she is deeply committed to the cause as you can see from this short interview in the metro - here.  She also teamed up after the Michael Kors campaign helping third world countries to further her sustainable challenge. Go Viv!

Now I need to stop rambling because above all this brings my attention tooooooo ''MEAT FREE MONDAY'' campaign combining fashion and education together to raise and spread awareness and protect our planet. Just one small action can really make that much of a difference and despite stating this campaigns purpose 'stating the obvious' it really demonstrates the whole global community shared partnership etc etc.  Whats more is the t - shirts used to create this are designed and styled by Stella McCartney, originally targeted at young children for GapKids (v smart) - Mine is on its way with pics to follow!

Also...

I recently read an article by a German photographer named 'Christoph Schaller' who is the creator of 'christophwho.com' and I came across one of his articles concerning our actions directly related with problems with which we are not faced called 'buy less think more'. On face value this was an intelligent link between photos, actions and problems but moreover I think he really 'hit the nail on the head' (cringe) with this piece. Please have a read (by clicking HERE) and I hope you feel the same way. The report gives us an inside and outside look on fashion industries and their profit margins which I found highly interesting.
Its always a challenge to combine two things together to make a difference but Its always fulfilling when I see articles like these (being a budding geographer myself) of people who also share the same vision that everyone wants.

Watch for this space! More fashion&environment linked posts to follow!

On a lighter note, please also look at his fashion outfits, I am a great fan of his on lookbook (HERE) and his outfits are always pristine.

Sorry if it was long/short for your liking or too hard/little spoken, for me this was just a short posts outlining my basic basic basic points  ( cant please everyone babe)

Enjoy your weekend and the weather!
In the U.K South East it is soooo warm and I will be getting my tan on all weekend!

Once again, comments are welcome and very much appreciated!

African by Night African by Nature

I'm not really sure why its taken me so long to dare out into African Prints. I've always loved them but thought that they would just look ridiculous on me and that I didnt have enough confidence to pull it off. HOW I WAS WRONG.

Wearing them made me feel so bold and they were so ''out there'' I can't wait to branch deeper into this ever in fashion trend. I bought these trousers from Zara (actually my mum made me buy them) and they are just f***** sick. They are so comfy flattering blah blah but the colour and print is so good for someone like me who's not very good at dressing A/W! As I could pair them with a chunky dark knit without looking so boring, you know?

Anyway please let me know what you think !

   photo b1da20f3-218e-4736-9ef7-1197006884ba_zpsab408286.jpg photo DSC_0172_zps51e3b447.jpg photo DSC_0165_zps11d715ee.jpg photo DSC_0170_zps34514967.jpg
Okay so they arnt really that 'African Print' but just printed. I really liked the belt addition in this but If i was going for a more relaxed approach I would probably take it off with a white tee half tucked in half not.

Sorry about the pissed off look.. I have no idea why?! haha
Hope you enjoy this fantastic weather the UK is getting and wherever else in the world you are!

Street Wear POUR LES GARCONS

See, my A - level french coming into play here! I'll make this short and simple but here is my lovely boyfriend ED styling the 'denim on denim' approach with an urban twist. He's a typical boy that loves loves loves his flatcaps and snapbacks so when photographing him it took a lot longer than me! His shorts are my favorite ,especially in this outfit as he made them out of some old jeans (you defiantly wouldn't know!) but they look so good and he can style them at various lengths.

Enjoy the photos!

Calm

I wanted to post this outfit before the trend become outdated!
I genuinely am in love with the ''white on white'' trend and although this isn't completed to the full its pretty out there and also goes perfectly with the 2 piece matching set that's out there at the moment as well! So I was really pleased  when I finally found matching shorts to go with my gorgeous tuxedo style blazer from River Island.

I have worn this outfit out once to a bar for drinks to see my brother perform on one of his DJ nights (you can access his soundcloud here) and it was a real hit! It was so easy to dress up with my favorite shoes as shown!

Anyway here they are, enjoy!

BOYFRIEND JEANS

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!
 I can post!
After a million hours of work and putting this off, I'm finally getting to it and this post will be about my new favorite item of clothing: BOYFRIEND JEANS!!
This weather is so unpredictable and I never know what to wear so I bought these as I wanted a pair for ages and I was surprised how cheap they were (on sale for half price at River Island!).

They are soooo comfortable, so flattering and so easy to wear. I thought I'd feel like such a boy but I really don't. I can even wear them with flats and they look good. So it can be done and they don't have to be worn with heels like celebrities wear them. Ive posted a few of me and also some celebrities to show the different ways they can be worn.

Hope you like them! Xxx
